The instruction about where to meet was very vague. I asked repeatedly for clarification and she simply repeated the same instruction. No-one knew where to meet, we were all asking strangers. I sent an email on the moving which was answered promptly and tutor had moved to a different place! No placard sogn identifying her. We dat down in the gardens ready to start when 2 more students who couldn't find her messaged, she went to meet them so was 10.40 before we started. She was a lovely person and I did pick up some useful tips but I wouldn't bother again.

The tutor is very helpful, but the venue is not suitable. The instructions have confused people again and your information regarding meeting up needs urgent review. See social media comments, they will affect attendance negatively unless you address this in a timely manner.

ARTISTS
Emma King
I am an experienced art and photography teacher with over 14 years of teaching experience, working with people of all ages and abilities. I love helping others build confidence in their creativity, whether they're complete beginners or more experienced artists. My workshops are relaxed, supportive and focused on enjoying the process as much as the final piece, with plenty of guidance on techniques like layering, texture and colour.

Alongside teaching, I'm a practicing artist inspired by nature and wildlife, and I care deeply about the environment - something that naturally comes through my work. I create contemporary paintings that combine detailed animal subjects with expressive, textured backgrounds. In my workshops, I encourage people to connect with nature, experiment freely, and develop their own unique style in a way that feels personal and meaningful.

Emma King is available for private bookings

Available week days from 10-2pm and weekends 12-8pm. I offer private tutoring including school age guidance and teaching up to A Level, developing portfolios for exam requirements and also applications to university. I am happy to do weddings, special events and celebrations. I can create portraits, pet portraits and other large artworks in any particular style or medium.

I was initially drawn to this by its simplicity yet amazing softness and almost hypnotic look in her eyes. Colour choices support the simplicity of design and her eyes keep you looking and searching....... she is simply beautiful, gentle and serene

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.

I am Tracey, a self-taught artist from Plymouth, UK, I have been developing my coloured pencil techniques for the past year . My aim is always to capture not only the likeness of an animal but also the personality and spirit that make them so special to the people who love them.In this piece, Colin is shown resting amongst a vibrant meadow of wildflowers, his striking green eyes drawing the viewer in. The detailed fur work, delicate whiskers, and colourful floral surroundings were all carefull
